OLD OIL TANK IS REMOVED! January 4, 2011

Today is Tue., January 4, 2011 and the old one thousand gallon oil tank was removed and will be taken away. The library is now using a temporary gas heating system until the new part is built. The "new" library will have a geothermal system for heating and cooling.

A fence was erected around the perimeter of the parking lot to keep parking safer and the construction vehicles on the other side of the fence. A construction trailer will be brought on site soon, and placed at the very back end of the parking lot, behind the fence.

A temporary septic tank is being installed, and conduit was installed through a back room for temporary utilities hookup. Construction can be a real challenge, but it's also very exciting to see things happening! We'll keep you posted-Happy New Year to all!

The ownership of oil depots falls into three main categories:
▬ Single oil company ownership. When one company owns and operates a depot on its own behalf.
▬ Joint or consortium ownership, where two or more companies own a depot together and share its operating costs.
▬ Independent ownership, where a depot is owned not by an oil company but by a separate business which charges oil companies (and others) a fee to store and handle products. The Royal Vopak from the Netherlands is the largest independent terminal operator with 80 terminals in 30 countries.
